Future appointments are advised for all patients and should be obtained from the ocular oncologist, ophthalmologist, medical doctor, and possibly oncologist.
From a systemic standpoint, examination by medical doctor or oncologist twice yearly with physical examination and liver function tests are suggested. Once yearly chest x-ray and liver scan is advised.
From an eye standpoint, examination by a qualified ophthalmologist or eye specialist twice yearly is suggested. The initial follow up will be more often, but as the eye heals from treatment, follow up will be twice yearly. It is suggested that the ocular oncologist examines the patient at least annually.
