Retina: light sensitive membrane in the back of the eye containing rods and cones for vision

Ocular oncologist: ophthalmologist with special interest in eye tumors
Retina specialist: ophthalmologist with special interest in the retina
Ocularist: artist who makes artificial eyes
Optician: technician who designs eyeglasses
Optometrist: person who measures refraction for eyeglasses
Edema: swelling
Cataract: opacity in the lens
Retinal detachment: separation of the retina from the back of the eye, resulting in vision loss

Melanocyte: normal cell in the skin or eye that contains pigment granules
Epithelioid cell type: plump melanoma cell with prominent nucleolus
Spindle cell type: thin melanoma cell with nonprominent nucleolus
Kenalog: steroid preparation, helps to protect the optic nerve
